FAQs
We're here to answer any questions you might have, here's a few of the common queries about hiring our mobility products.

Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes, we take a standard security deposit at the time of booking. This is fully refundable once the equipment is returned in the same condition it was hired. As noted by our customers, if you have any technical issues with your bank card during the process, we are happy to work with you to resolve it.
What happens if I need to cancel my hire?
We know plans change, especially regarding health. If you need to cancel, please contact us as soon as possible. While many companies charge the full hire fee, we pride ourselves on being fair—often charging only a small admin fee rather than the full weekly rate, and returning your deposit in full.
Can you deliver to my holiday accommodation?
Absolutely. We deliver and collect equipment across Ilfracombe, Lee, and the surrounding North Devon area. Whether you are staying in a hotel, a holiday cottage, or a campsite, we can arrange a drop-off and collection time that suits your schedule.
Do I need a licence to use a mobility scooter?
No, you do not need a driving licence. However, you must have a physical disability, injury, or medical condition that limits your ability to walk. Our team will provide a full demonstration on how to operate the equipment safely before you head off.
What should I do if the equipment breaks down?
In the unlikely event of a mechanical issue, stay where you are and call our shop immediately. We will arrange to swap the equipment or send a team member to assist you as quickly as possible.
What is the difference between a Class 2 and Class 3 scooter?
Class 2: Restricted to 4mph and must be used on pavements. These are often foldable or "boot scooters" that fit in a car.
Class 3: Can go up to 8mph and are legal for road use. These are larger, sturdier, and equipped with lights and indicators.
